Abstract
The hydraulic model test by reproducing a tsunami (single-peak type and two-step type waveform) was conducted to evaluate the tsunami wave pressure acting on a protection facility. As a result of the test, the following findings were made:
 1. The influence of tsunami waveform to wave pressure acts on the facility is small.
 2. Wave pressure distribution is hydrostatic.
 3. Impact wave pressure was not observed, thus sustained wave pressure is dominant.
 4. Depth amplification coefficient(hydrostatic pressure head / water depth at the protection facility) has an average value of 1.05-1.20 and a maximum value of 1.16-1.42.
