Abstract
For tsunami mitigation, suitable arrangement of multiple tsunami measure structures is very important. The objective of this study is to estimate effect of a combined position of coastal forest and embankment on tsunami flow pattern and tsunami mitigation by the hydraulic model experiment. The flow velocity behind model is mitigated, when the coastal forest is in the lower stream side of the coastal embankment. Moreover, the flow energy behind model is mitigated, when the distance of the coastal embankment and the coastal forest leaves, since the resistance force of the coastal forest becomes large.
