Abstract
In the midst of the increasing Port Structures that have crossed the in-service period of 50 years after construction, there is also deterioration in the number of divers carrying out the underwater investigation. In future, it is essential to develop a technique capable of carrying out wider area investigation in a short time as an alternative of current method of steady inspection of port structures. In order to improve the inspection efficiency of investigation while using surveying equipment and the divers, the technology of real-time surveying equipment becomes indispensable.
In this paper, revetment surveying experiment was carried out with the Real-time Underwater Sonar capable of visualizing underwater in real-time and the results have been compared with the actual survey results of the Divers in order to check the measurement accuracy of the Real-time Underwater sonar and to confirm the investigation results based on the check points for substitution of items as mentioned in the Guidelines on Inspection and Diagnosis for Port Structures and reported.
