Abstract

In practice of introducing bridge management in developing countries, it is the case that 1) inventory data of existing infrastructure facilities is not validated, and 2) visual inspection data is not stored. It is possible to estimate the stochastic deterioration prediction models by using the information about construction or repair timing and one time inspection data in bridge management. However, they are quite often the cases that the data about construction timing of part of bridges are missing in developing countries. In this study, a methodology to estimate the deterioration prediction model of bridge using the imperfect data base in which information on inauguration time of some bridges are missing is proposed. The applicable of the methodology presented in this paper is examined against the bridge data in Vietnam.
