Abstract
This paper focused on the tsunami-induced force generation mechanism at the superstructure. In this study, Finite-Difference Lattice Boltzmann Method was employed for the numerical analysis. The results were as follows. The analysis of the two-phase flow with water and air, the tendency of the hydrodynamic pressure distribution and flow regime at the result of the numerical analysis were corresponded with the flume test. In case of the channel-shaped model, the negative pressure at the bottom of the model immediately the tsunami acting was not generated because of the entrapped air in the model. Therefore, the downward tsunami-induced force was not generated.
