Abstract

With the future goal of developing an evaluation sheet for measuring effects and degree of user satisfaction for community-based parenting support centers in an anonymous city (city A), this study had the following three objectives: ① to clarify the components of category specific aspects of user satisfaction; ② to analyze the relationship between the components of category-specific aspects of user satisfaction and questions pertaining to overall user satisfaction; and ③ to describe the relationship between the related components of category-specific aspects of user satisfaction and user attributes. Factor analysis identified five category-specific aspect of user satisfaction: “Quality of Staff” (α=0.968), “Effect of Reducing Parenting Anxiety and Burden” (α=0.954), “Effect of Developing Mutually Supportive Relationships with Other Parents” (α=0.926). “Function as a Supportive Environment for Daily Utilization” (α=0.935), and “Service Delivery Environment” (α=0.622). Correlational analysis indicated that each of these five factors had middle to high correlation with the three items of overall satisfaction. T-test analysis showed that there were significant differences depending upon the “number of times parents had utilized the support center” and the “existence or non-existence of supportive friends and acquaintances.” The next task will be to examine evaluation items and to develop the evaluation sheet.
