Abstract
FRR (Fiber Reinforced Rubber) has been applied to many constructions. But, few study on the dynamic property has been reported. In the present work, the longitudinal complex moduli and the dynamic property of FRR at small strain are studied based on the law of mixtures, the theory of elasticity, and the theory of linear viscoelasticity. The free decay vibration method was utilized in the study. Materials with fibers at +θ (off-axis), ±θ (bias-ply) were investigated. The complex moduli of the off-axial FRR and the bias-ply FRR can be estimated as the factors of the shear strain and that of the internal shear strain respectively.
