Abstract
This paper aims to clarify the co-creation process in the new product development process based on a practical case study of Product X (Goto and Masuda, 2021). We clarified the process of emergent co-creation in the new product development process using the “action-communication-dialogue-practice (ACDP) cycle,” the natural-born intelligence model, and the small self-actualization model. For emergent co-creation, shifting from the egoistic motive to the mutual contribution to fellows is essential. This study’s results indicate the applicability of the ACDP cycle as a practical method for emergent co-creation.
