Cultured broths of actinomycetes isolated from plants and rhizopheres were examined for plant growth-regulating activities in 3 bioassays. Results reveal that 8 strains produce the inhibitors of lettuce seeds germination or rice seeds growth, or the cytokinin-like compounds.
