Abstract
A new calorimeter enabled to measure the heat of bulk-photopolymerization reaction and to discuss kinetics of the reaction. The apparatus equipped with an irradiation unit belonged to a twin and thermal-leak type of calorimeter, and had the sensitivity of 0.63μJs-1. It was used to kinetically analize bulk-photopolymerization processes of lauryl acrylate and lauryl metacrylate. Their processes were different distinctly. Also, a kinetic result on the photopolymerization system containing two initiators of aromatic ketone- and amino-compounds suggested the formation of exciplex between them.
