Abstract
During the 2000 Western Tottori-prefecture earthquake, strong motion records showed 531gal at the inspection gallery and 2051gal at the dam crest of Kasho Dam. The strong motion records are greatest seismic motion in Japan. In this report, the difference of the direction of the seismograph at Kasho Dam was inspected there, and the direction was revised. The response characteristic of the dam body was revaluated. Moreover, the Kasho Dam was reinspected, and the cautions place at dam special inspection after earthquake was indicated.
