Trial in-situ of Real Time Construction Management System

Abstract

Field banking tests are ordinary carried out to specify the construction method to control the quality of the rock-fill dam bank. While constructing dam body, in-situ density tests are executed to judge the fill quality. But the tests need a lot of time and effort, so a new quality management system is demanded.
This paper reports about the trial case of the real time fill quality management system using the 3D-CAD, GPS, and "α-system".
This trial case is also put into operation to be evaluated by the New Technology Information System (NETIS).
