Abstract
Recently, dam construction projects for the single purpose of flood control have increased from the viewpoint of river environment preservation. In these projects, it is designable to install wider outlet at riverbed level, so that the river water can flow freely during normal condition. In this study, numerical simulations for a concrete gravity dry dam with a riverbed outlet were performed to estimate the structurally maximum possible width of the outlet.
