Abstract
Removal and recycling of dam sediment by dredging or excavation are investigated. Although cost is one of the most important factors for dam sediment recycling, the analytical study related to the cost so far was limited to aggregates usage. We made cost analysis on dam sediment recycling including not only aggregate usage but also environmental aspect. Project feasibility of dam sediment recycling was also clarified applying the brand-new idea of PFI and risk management to this dam management field. Finally, we proposed the new project frame for dam sediment recycling jointly promoted by public sector and private sector based on the viewpoint of reservoir sedimentation management.
