Abstract
RCD Concrete is lean and extremely stiff concrete compacted by vibrating rollers, and is used in the RCD (Roller-compacted Concrete for Dams) Construction Method which has been developed as the rapid and economical construction of concrete dams. The properties of RCD concrete are determined not only by its mix proportion but also by compaction energy given to it.
In this paper, the large-sized specimens of RCD concrete are tested and the properties of RCD concrete are studied. The new procedure of mix design of RCD concrete is also proposed.
