Abstract

Mechanical properties of direct resin composites have been improved. Therefore, the clinical indications of composite restorations are expanding with the reliability of dental adhesive materials and the MID concept. Recent direct resin composites include a universal-shade composite with no shade-taking and a self-adhesive resin composite;however, these materials still have some drawbacks to be resolved. A new approach to the next composite materials is expected to develop the in-home dental care and upcoming digital dentistry.
