Abstract
Work schedule creators (managers) spend a great deal of effort in the course of their daily work tracking member composition, the health of each nurse, coordinating these elements, and checking work schedules. There is no specific procedure for making schedules, so the details of the task are left up to each work schedule creator. Software vendors and researchers have done considerable research into this topic, but have not achieved practical results. Most existing software cannot be said to be made with much consideration for the work schedule creators. In research, nurse scheduling is the name of a field, and exists as a “problem to be solved”. There are very few nurses and people who handle their field, and few algorithms have been put to practical use. In this research, we identify tasks to find how work schedules are made, and propose tools that support making entire work schedules. The basic principle is that the work schedule creator should take the lead role in making schedules, and the computer system should serve primarily for support. This paper deals with quantitative evaluation and evaluation value improvement algorithms.
