Abstract
To the elucidate simple caluculus for nutritional requirement of a stable patient treated by hemodialysis, We measured the weight, the height and the thickness of subcutaneous fat tissue of a patient and investigated the relation between patient's daily caloric intake and average pretreatment value for plasma urea nitrogen, creatinine, uric acid, total protein, total cholesterol, triglyceride and hematocrit.
We had results that though a patient's daily caloric intake equaled consumption calorie, the weight and the thickness of subcutaneous fat tissue of a patient under hemodialysis were each nearly 93% and 74% of a healthy person. The hematocrit and the caloric intake were related with each other, but other biochemical data of blood was not related to caloric intake.
The proportion of protein, fat and carbohydrate to caloric intake was the ratio of 14.7%:32.3%:52.6%.
