The educational system of College of Technology in Japan is based on the premise that they teach fundamental and professional ideas, and moreover, cultivate technical expertes with a practical engineering sense three years earlier than Technical University. Therefore, it is deeply orientated toward engineering education.
The system of the integrated practice was introduced as one educational method for stimulating engineers eleven years ago in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Toyota College of Technology.
The purpose of the system is the fostering of creativity through experiences of manufacturing machine products.
The students have been very excited about it, especially seeing the results of the work.
The details on the introduction of the integrated practice system and its effect are explained with the merits of this system being emphasized in this report.
