76. Assessment of decarbonization and sustainability by regional share of renewable energy in Japan

Abstract

The annual supply of renewable energies such as solar, wind, small hydro, biomass, solar thermal and geothermal, are estimated for the annual energy demand such as electricity and heat of all local governments in Japan, and the regional share of renewable energy is estimated for the consumer and agriculture sectors, and analyzed against various characteristics such as regional population size and food self-sufficiency to assess regional decarbonization and sustainability.
