Abstract

There is concern that developing countries and other countries will face a global shortage of drinking water in the future, and it is essential to secure this water. In order to prevent the uneven distribution of water resources, water production technologies that consume less energy are important. In this context, solar distillation systems using renewable energy are attracting attention. In this study, in order to achieve efficient production using this additional technology, a numerical analysis considering the promotion of condensation by ion wind on the outer surface of the pipe revealed that the distance between the underside of the ceiling plate and the top of the condensing pipe affects the amount of condensation.
