Abstract

In this study, an experimental apparatus was constructed for Transparent Vacuum Insulation Panels (TVIP), which can be easily installed as insulation for building windows, by applying the pressure-rise-rate method to establish a manufacturing process for TVIP that suppresses pressure increase. In this experiment, a gas barrier film with a straw was used as a vacuum vessel. The results of the experiment showed that after heating for 8 hours and vacuuming with two getter materials sealed, the internal pressure of the TVIP could be further reduced than before.
