Abstract
Some topics presented at 6th Joint Ergonomics Symposium held at Mainz, FRG, in September 1981 were briefly reported. The discussions at the Symposium were commonly concentrated on ergonomics of agricultural and forestry in-door work, which includes works in greenhouses, livestock barns, sawmills and tractor cabs.
The latter part of this paper is a short report of some investigations on farm work safety problems at seven research and educational institutes in Sweden and FRG. The recent studies on tractor cabs appear to be focusing the raise-up of operator's comfortability as well as safety. Two interesting methods on farm accident research were also introduced.
