Abstract
Methods of tillage for vegetable transplanting accuracy improvement after rice cropping were examined. Performance of a narrow cutting width blade rotary that can be attached 1.4 times blades of usual rotary was investigated on pulverizing of soil, submergence of rice stubble and straw, cutting of rice stubble and power consumption.
1) Narrow cutting width blade rotary requires small PTO power while it has excellent performance on pulverizing of soil.
2) In condition which short cutted rice straw is sprinkled on surface of field, the drying of soil is bad and the performance of pulverizing of soil etc. is inferior. To carry rice straw out of field is good for rotary tillage and ridging soon after harvesting of rice.
3) Improvement of vegetable transplanting accuracy needs to make rice stubble small by tillage. Narrow cutting width blade rotary can make it small using 3 or 4 PTO speed change gear. Secoundary tillage is good to do after soil properly dries. However, it should be operated before rainfall.
