Abstract

Objective: We report robot-assisted laparoscopic simple total hysterectomy performed at our hospital for removal of benign tumors.

Design: We investigated the operation time, estimated blood loss, and console time in patients who underwent robot-assisted laparoscopic simple total hysterectomy.

Setting: This study was performed in patients who underwent robot-assisted laparoscopic simple total hysterectomy for removal of benign tumors between June 2018 and August 2019.

Patients: Benign tumors were diagnosed preoperatively in 50 patients.

Intervention: Benign tumors were removed using the da Vinci Si Surgical System.

Main outcome: We observed no intraoperative complications, and no patient required conversion to laparotomy. One patient developed significant postoperative genital bleeding.

Result: We performed laparoscopic simple total hysterectomy without any intraoperative complications.

Conclusion: In our view, laparoscopic simple total hysterectomy is safe and feasible.
