Ferroelectric Phase Transitions in Nanocrystalline ABO₃ System at High Pressure

Abstract

Ferroelectric phase transitions of nanaocrystalline ABO₃ type materials, PbTiO₃, PbZrO₃ Pb_1-xSr_xTiO₃, PbZr_xTi_1-xO₃, Pb_1-xBa_xO₃, Pb_1-xLa_xO₃, have been researched by Raman scattering and x - ray diffraction at different conditions. The phase transition from FE to PE is driven by the softening of the lowest phonon mode E (TO). The difference between nanocrystalline materials and its' bulk one under high pressure has been discussed.
