Abstract
A forest clear-cutting experiment was conducted in
Fukuroyamasawa Watershed in University Forest in Chiba, The
University of Tokyo, Japan. The watershed is located in a
Tertiary formation area and is covered by a mixed plantation
of Sugi (Cryptomeria japonica) and Hinoki (
Chamaecyparis obtusa). Trees of the same spieces was
planted next year after cutting. The annual precipitation
and annual mean temperature are 2200 mm and 14 degree C ,
respectively. Area of the watershed is about 1 ha. We
analized the change in water yield accompanying growth of
planting trees. By 7th year after planting, the trees was
grown largely, but the change in water yield was not found.
