It is important to estimate the amount of snow over the mountain in dam catchment. But rain gauges are not effective to mountainous heavy-snow areas. In this study, threshold method was applied to estimate snow amount by using Radar-AMeDAS data. Relation between ratio over the threshold and areal rain amount was deduced by using only Radar-AMeDAS data. The snow amount calculated by the treshold method seemed to have correlation with dam inflow in spring. However the relation was not better than that between the areal rain by rain gauge and dam inflow. There is still a space to progress the relationship between the fraction area and the rain amount.
