Abstract

This paper describes the practicability of snow accumulation, melting and runoff process simulation against floods and for water management under the global warming condition. Snow models and gridcell based distributed rainfall-runoff model with 50-m spatial resolution are used for evaluating storage process of the snow pack on mountain slopes as well as flood runoff from a river basin with a catchment area of 100km2. 1.5-2 deg C temperature warming has considerable impact on the peak flow and water storage in this basin.
