In this study, we focused on Kasumi-dike of Tedori River, in Ishikawa Prefecture, and analyzed the effects of Kasumi-dike during floods. Specifically, the two-dimensional shallow water flow equation was applied, and flooding calculation in the Tedori River basin was carried out at a resolution of 5m. Extremely large value of virtual rainfall and flow rate were given as external force, and a numerical experiment of behavior of Kasumi-dike in the extreme situation was performed. As a result, Kasumi-dike of Tedori River showed an effect of reducing flow quantity of main stream in an extremely large flood as assumed in this study. But the assumed flow rate is considerably larger than the previous one, the water retarding function in a normal flood rate was assumed to be rarely exhibited.
