Abstract

This study extracted linearly and stagnant heavy rainfall events occurring from July to September using observation data and large ensemble data for Hokkaido and its surrounding areas. In particular, we focus on the climatic characteristics of each area due to the topography of the Japan Sea, the Pacific Ocean, and the Sea of Okhotsk, as well as the Taisetsu Mountains and the Hidaka Mountains, and discuss the results.
