Abstract
While 'Information and Management' research has traditionally been dominated by the positivist approach, the interpretive approach has quite recently gained significant attention in 'Information and Management' research. This paper, firstly, clarifies why the positivist approach has some limitations and problems to deeply understand the current information practice and why the interpretive approach can conquer those limitations and problems. Lastly, the necessity of establishing the integrated framework, which can inter-complementary full play strengths and simultaneously minimize each limitation of two approaches, will be unfolded.
