Abstract

In this study, we conduct a survey by questionnaire and interviews and propose a conflict model that leads to realistic improvement proposals based on the relationship among three stakeholders (students, faculty, and system administrators) for a specific VOD (Video-on-Demand) learning. The following are the results of a case study in which a VOD containing an undergraduate level face-to-face lecture on statistics was used for two different purposes: as the supplementary teaching material or as the primary teaching material in a different educational campus. The percentage of students who received credit for using VOD as their primary learning material was relatively low, suggesting two ways to improve learning: increasing viewing opportunities or selecting more important scenes. Finally, based on the learning model that encompasses such conflicts among the three stakeholders, we discussed a more realistic VOD learning improvement.
