Focusing on teaching practice and internship in teacher training programs for higher vocational education in China,this paper aims to clarify the acquisition of competence through teaching practice and internship, the change of career-path selection and the impact on teacher’s job, through the graduates interview of three teacher training institutions. In conclusion, the author finds that first, a variety of competence can be acquired through teaching practice and internship. but, according to various enforcement of practice, the difference of the acquisition of vocational practice competence can be brought. Second, about the career-path selection, the student can only judgment the eligibility to teacher’s job through teaching practice. but, the students can have a wide range of career-path and vocation selection through the teacher training programs which have both teaching practice and internship. Third, according to the participation of teaching practice and internship, the teaching lessons at their work place are difference. Furthermore, basing on the conclusion, the author discuss the type of teachers brought up from the teacher training programs for Higher Vocational Education.
