Abstract

Company A presented four diverse types of career development support to children, pupils, and students. This project includes “Children’s Open Day” for the children of Company A’ employees, “Problem-solving learning” for university students, and” Career lectures” and “Work experience” for junior high school students.

I interviewed the young employees who were engaged on this project and their managers. I analyzed and arranged the results using Robert, L.Katz’s “three abilities (human resources skills).” “Learning the process of work”, “thinking independently”, “deepening work” and “reflecting on one’s career” are considered to be “human skills”, “gaining experience in communicating with others”, “vitalizing the company and searching human resources” agree with to be “conceptual skills”, “publicizing the needs of young people and the business content”, “contributing to the local community” coincide to be “technical skills.” The career development support offered by companies to the young generations make the company develop too, such as vitalizing the workplace and searching human resources. It was also made clear that it is meaningful to develop the young employees in charge and to train the managers.

It is expected that this will increase the companies that offer the career development support (work experience and internships), and make young people rethink about their own futures.
