Abstract
Clinical evaluations were carried out on 11 mutilans RA patients with cervical lesions.
Follow-up radiographies showed bone absorption and non-union in 3 cases, grafted bone fracture in one, and advanced subaxial subluxation in 2.
It seems to be necessary to understand a disease course sufficiently in order to determine the appropriate treatment case by case and to maintain stability of the cervical spine after operation.
