Abstract
It is well known that anti-tumor substances inhibit the fissions and multiplications of malignant tumor cells. It is of interest to kow anti-tumor substances act upon the reprod-uctive cells, which have comparatively. strong power of fission.
The effects of anti-tumor substances on the testicles of mice following the administration of 0.5 mg of Methyl his (β-chloroethy) amine N-oxide hydrochloride and 1 mg of 8-Azaguanine have been studied. The following results were obtained.
Anti-tumor substances can cause transient inhibition of fission period. -1 he most serious effect in testicles were found in spermatogonia and spermatocyte, prespermatid and spermatid, while less effect were found in sertoli cells and interstitial cells, which were reversible. The most serious effects appeared between 3-5 days following the administration, and then recovered gradually and functions reappeared in the tenth day.
