Abstract
A new antalgic and sedative injection “Dedoran” is a product consists chiefly of Adorum-Aminopylin compound (80 mg) in combination with Hilaamin-HCl (15 mg), Promethazin-HCl (6 mg), and Aminopylin (40 mg) . Stated in the following are the findings of its clinical application :
1. Basal anesthesia before operation : One injection of Dedoran was given 30 minutes before operation. The injection was effecteve in 5 out of the 7 cases received injection and not effective in 1 case. In all cases, there was no appreciable effect on the blood pressure.
2. Postoperative pain : Injections were given after the patients begun to complain of pain. The injection was effective in 4 out of 6 cases received injection. No influence was recognized on the blood pressure.
3. Pain in the terminal stage of the cancer of cervix : The injection was effective in 2 out of the 3 cases received injection. Duration of the effective period was long and the antalgic effect was excellent.
4. Anesthesia for the endometrial curette and artificial abortion : In combination with the topical anesthesia by Procaine, Dedoran showed a considerable antalgic effect against the pain at the time of cervical opening, contraction of the uterus. and also the postoperative pain. Namely, the injection was effective in 19 out of the 20 cases received injection. It was not effective in only 1 case. In 1 case, erythema, swelling and pain were observed at the site of injection.
