Abstract
In the present study, fertilized eggs received the injection of 0.5U or 1U per egg of aposterior pituitary hormones (Atonin: A, Atonin-O: A-O and Syntocinon: S) .
Toxic effects of A, A-O and S were not so significant.
In the 9th day of incubation, the sodium concentration of the allantoic fluid of the egg injected with A, A-O and S were lower than the control. In the 12th to 18th day of incubation, such an influence was not observed.
In the histological investigation, the edema was observed in the heart of embryo which received A, A-O and S injections and also a few case of hydrops were observed in the early stage of incubation.
It is considered that A, A-O and S had influence on sodium metabolism or water metabolism of chick embryo.
