Abstract
The pressor effects of nicotine in mongrel dogs anesthetized with morphine and sodium pentobarbital were studied using a kymographic method. The central and peripheral factors participate in the mechanism of pressor action of nicotine. Stimulation in vasopressor center is the central factor, while in the adrenal medulla is the peripheral factor, both of which cause the rise in blood pressure by the administration of nicotine.
