We conduct a questionnaire to ask prefectures and authorized cities for utilization of issue reports of industrial waste manifest, which every industrial waste generater must prepare based on tha Waste Management Law. The finding is that not all of information in the reports is aggregated. Few local govenments utirize the report to confirm the permission of commissioned disposer, inspection, or waste disposal survey. Promotion of the computerization, construction of the system to grasp the all quantity of the waste generater who should submit a report, and accurate improvement of manifest contents are necessary effective utilization of the report by local govenments. To improve tha accurate of manifest contents, local government should instruct gravimetry using truck scale as necessary.
