Abstract
This research contain conversion of dead leaves into high energy content hydrochar. Leaves were collected from different parts of seoul and were carbonized with hot distilled water at different temperature in a reactor. Hydrothermal carbonization process was used for carbonization. After carbonization liquid and solid were separated and stored for further analysis.The energy contant showed about 21% increased when heating at temperature 240 as compare to raw feedstock. The energy yield was also maximum of 91% at temperature 240. so it can be concluded that high energy content char can be obtained if carbonized at 240 temperature.
