Abstract

Generation and contamination of tsunami deposit at a city is estimated by using tsunami simulator with suspended load transport model. Estimated amount of tsunami deposit was smaller when Gauckler–Manning coefficient was calculated from sea sediment particle diameter instead of urbanization rate. Finer sediment was dominant in tsunami deposit. It is expected that contaminant content of finer sea sediment strongly affects that of tsunami deposit. It can be expected that it is source of tsunami deposit where sea sediment with particle diameter of tsunami deposit was eroded. By investigating sea sediment of this kind of location, contamination of tsunami deposit can be efficiently forecasted.
