Comparison of flow and indicators of end-of-life vehicle between the European Union and Japan

Abstract

European Union (EU) and Japan both have a sound ELV management act with indicators to reflect the performance of the ELV waste management, however, there are differences in these acts. Detail understanding of the process and the flow of material is needed to comprehend these indicators. This research aims to understand the flow of material in the EU and Japan and their differences in policies and indicators of EU and Japan so that these indicators could be compared.
