This paper deals with one of the calculating methods of the pulsation in a piping system using the digital computer. In this method, which is a cariation of the transfer matrix method, the damping factor of the wave in a piping is introduced into the calculation of the pulsation, and the pulsation pressure at the arbitrary point in the piping system can be obtained rather easily when the forced pulse on the volumetric velocity at the cylinder is given. Although pulsation has been usually calculated primarily with an analog computer hitherto, this method makes the calculation possible without any special large scale analog computer using only a digital computer. It would contribute to popularization of calculation for the piping system.
