The potential flow through the circular cascade for the return channel was analyzed when the flow separation occurred on the vane surface. The displacement effect induced from the separation was replaced with a flow spouting from the region of separation on the vane surface. the separation point was predicted by the boundary layer analysis. The analyzed flow pattern coincides pretty well with the actual one, on the middle-width section of the passage. the flow patterns for various incidence angles and Reynolds numbers were also presented.
