Abstract
The catenary system used in urban electrification railway has been suffered from mechanical and chemical stresses. These stresses brought out severe messenger wire problems and then caused accident finally. Especially, strength of messenger wire is severely influenced by corrosion, vibration and tension. This paper investigates for the cause analysis of broken accident on messenger wire in catenary system. To analyze the cause of accident, we have conducted experiments such as XRD, SEM, EDX and tensile test.
