Abstract
This paper presents a new high order numerical method based on multi-moment idea developed by the CIP (Constrained Interpolation Profile) method, that is named the multi-moment constrained finite volume (MCV) method. In the MCV method, the locally defined point-values as the unknowns are updated respectively. Then, each of the time evolution equations in terms of the point-values are obtained from some kinds of moments such as the cell-averaged value, point-value and derivative value. Therefore, the MCV method is able to satisfy the mass conservation completely. In this paper, the method is extended to the incompressible fluid equations.
