1205 Interface Stresses of a Hemispherical Elastic Solid Embedded in a Rigid Hemispherical Pit

Abstract

This paper investigates on the interface stresses between a hemispherical elastic solid and a rigid hemispherical pit. A method of fundamental solution is presented for the problem. For this purpose, we apply the Boussinesq's solution and Green's functions for axisymmetric body force problems of an elastic half space. In order to select many collocation points at near the stress singular point, we use a new discrechization method.
