It is essential to construct a ground surface modeling method that assumes various irregular lands in order to perform high-accuracy travel analysis of off-road vehicle. Because off-roads have different geotechnical properties and surface geometrical conditions depending on their formation process, ground surface models must reflect these properly. In this study, we propose a multi-stage analysis method to make the ground surface formation and the evaluation of traveling characteristics seamless by combining it with other numerical analysis. In this study, the road surface model is created by inheriting the terrain data obtained by FEM analysis model, and the traveling analysis is carried out. In FEM analyses, the subloading surface model was introduced to the ground model, and the mechanical behavior of the soil was reproduced. On the other hand, the recently proposed RFT is used for terramehanics analysis to evaluate the force received from the ground surface, and the traveling characteristics are predicted based on this theory.
